The premium “haldi” or turmeric used in this earthy fusion is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas in Fulbari Assam. Auspicious and sacred and celebrated for it’s healing, immunity boosting qualities, this root has been used ceremonially and in ayurvedic healing practices for over 4000 years. This vibrant orange root grounds this cup of tea in the same earthy sanctimony that it once dyed Buddhist robes and children's festive garb in its native land. This blend evokes the warmth of tradition and gratitude for the soil's bounty.

Assam in East India is the largest tea-growing region in the world. The Brahmaputra river breathes life into our Assam Estates, supporting the forest and a multitude of indigenous dwellers, from migratory elephants, rhinos and wild boars to hundreds of species of birds. The animals across these 5 National Parks dotting the periphery of the estates impact the estate’s ecological diversity and the terroir from which emerges this bold, flavourful tea.

The valerian root tea also known as ‘sugandhbala’ in India grows on the rolling hills and deep valleys of Kalimpong in the temperate Himalayas.
