Among Africa’s finest is our Gisovu Estate in Western Rwanda, which stands out for its bright, brisk and golden cups. Ideal growing conditions, created by the surrounding Nyungwe forest, combined with the unique ecosystem of the terrain lead to the creation of this unique tea. The Silverback Gorillas are regular visitors to the estate.

The Estate: From the iconic Makaibari Tea Estate in Darjeeling, comes the Summer Solstice tea also termed as the second flush. Amidst pristine Himalayan forests, this Darjeeling Makaibari tea is grown in harmony with the nature surrounding it. The leaves are harvested at dawn during May - June. The resulting cup is light, soothing and delicate with a fresh yet intense aroma.

Crafting a good jasmine tea can only be done by an artisan who knows how to pay homage to its delicate nature. These delicate white jasmine buds are typically picked in heady and hot conditions as the bud is tightly closed to protect itself from the Sepon sun. Then, this night blooming variety of jasmine bud bursts open in the safety of coolness to release its sweet and subtle apple blossom aromas. A Darjeeling Green Tea grown in an area known as “The Queen of the Hills” brings a luxurious creamy note to this well-balanced cup.
